Welcome back to Spack Craft’s monthly newsletter!
As mentioned in our previous blog post, Spack Craft will not be e-mailing the Newsletter out while the COVID-19 situation is still ongoing as we recognize that everyone is receiving an unprecedented amount of e-mails. It's been a quiet start to the year as I was preparing some new products and programs for my customers. I always like to take the quiet time at the start of the year to take stock of the business, develop new products and work on restocking after the Christmas shopping season.
I would like to thank each of you for choosing to support a handmade business! Support comes in many forms, not just making purchases! Each like, follow, and recommendation you make means the world to a small business!
So without further ado, I am pleased to announce that Spack Craft is introducing a Rewards Program to reward my loyal customers for their support! Collect points on every purchase and for completing tasks and contests. Use your points for coupons against future purchases! All you need is a customer account to start!
Last year in November, Spack Craft products became available at the Handmade House in Burlington! I am happy to announce that you can now find Spack Craft at the Handmade House in Dundas as well! Due to the small batches that Spack Craft produces, selection of prints will vary by store, so check them both out! Bonus! If you are a member of Spack Craft’s reward program, you can earn points on your in-store purchases as well. Right now, The Handmade House is closed due to COVID-19, however you can still shop their Instagram and Website! They are currently offering curbside pickup and local delivery with minimum purchase.
Last, but certainly not least, new product announcements!
We have three new products that are coming down the pipeline. Currently available in limited quantities, more stock will be forthcoming!
First up, is the (grocery) Bag Holder! I used to see these everywhere, but haven’t in years. I know that we are moving away from single-use plastics, however there are many reasons why some of us still have a collection of these! If you are like me, you have a collection of single-use plastic bags that you keep stashed in another plastic bag that you hang onto just in case. We all try to reduce where possible, but if its not, the bag holder helps you keep them handy and looking a lot tidier to help you reuse them before recycling.
The Bag Holder features a natural cork tab with plastic snap to attach to fixed objects and an elastic bottom. The Bag Holder would also work to hold soft-sided reusable tote bags, dish clothes, tea towels, socks, etc. (or other things I haven’t thought of!) if you are a plastic bag free household.
Next up, the Cup Cozy’s little sibling, the Drink Cozy. This product is designed to fit both a can and a bottle, even though a can has a larger diameter than a bottle, based on how much you over or under Velcro the cozy. Like the Cup Cozy, the Can/Bottle Cozy features a layer of fleece on the inside which helps keep your drink cool while also absorbing condensation. Both of these products are awesome if you have any cold sensitivity or pain issues in your hands! Please note, that this cozy is designed without a bottom so that the product is reversible. My product testers have not found that this is a detriment, however please make sure that you Velcro the cozy securely and grip your drink as you normally would. Pro-tip, Velcro the cozy prior to opening your can for the best fit.
Third, in response to the COVID-19 situation, Spack Craft has just released a new product: Shopping Cart Handle Covers. They are currently available in limited quantity here, but don't fret, another large batch will be following soon after!
