Hello friends!
If you are a Newsletter subscriber, you may have noticed that its been quiet for a few months now. Typically, I spend the beginning of the year in a bit of a hibernation mode to recover from the Christmas craziness and to plan for the coming year including adding new programs, features and products.
I was about to send out the latest Newsletter early March as the COVID-19 pandemic started picking up pace in North America. I know that I have been inundated with e-mails since mid-March and I did not want to add to the frenzy with a non-essential update about a handmade sewing shop! (As much as I love and believe in my business, I am aware that my products are a "nice to have" not a "need to have")
I know some of you really enjoy getting a little bit of happy e-mail once every so often with pictures of pretty things, so I have decided that while we are in a state of emergency, I will be posting more blog entries and social media entries instead of sending the "monthly" Newsletter. I hope this makes it more of an opt-in if you want a bit of distraction or retail therapy rather than yet another e-mail to clutter your already full inbox.
I would like to reassure my customers that Spack Craft has been taking all necessary precautions with regard to COVID-19. Spack Craft is pretty much a one-woman outfit with some loving slave labour from my Chief Ironing Officer, AKA Mama Bear, my Chief Logistics Officer, AKA Papa Bear and my Chief Cheering Officer, AKA my loving Husband.
That being said, during this time, it will only be myself crafting and handling products, I am practicing proper hygiene practices and our household has been social/physical distancing and working from home for the past couple weeks. We have no risk factors (travel, contact with those who have traveled, contact with anyone known to have the virus) and have no symptoms.
In the past Spack Craft has offered local delivery within Hamilton as a feature for our local customers free of charge. During the provincial shut-down, we will not be offering this service. We will still offer contactless curbside pick-up options but you must contact us first to arrange the details.
We absolutely will continue to offer our offerings via the website shop (with delivery by Canada Post) as well as be continuing to stock The Handmade House who has just launched their brand new website! Check it out, its gorgeous! :)
